Sex Education Community Assignment

The Sex Education Community
By Joyce Chang

Based on my research, the sex education community is quite diverse in terms of the backgrounds and interests of people who are interested in this topic. The community has heavy overlap with people interested in sexual health and reproductive rights.

Online Web sites about this topic tend to focus either on sex education policy, reproductive health and rights, or sexual health advice (Q&A format).

While online networking has become increasingly important, some members of this community feel that face-to-face interaction can’t be replaced and still has unique advantages. Even in my informal online survey of 29 members of this community, one suggestion for increased communication among members of this community was to have bloggers meet in person.

I hope that you’ll read my report and give me your feedback. You can navigate to the three sections through the links below, or you can also download the full report in a Word or PDF format.

Thanks!
